Dr. Nygren received her undergraduate degree in Psychology. She has always had a strong desire to help people and to improve their situation. After working as an in-school and at home counselor for children, she decided that she was not in the right field. Dr. Nygren’s best experience with a health professional had been with her chiropractor. Because of this and several other reasons, she decided to go back to school and become a chiropractor.
Dr. Nygren graduated from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic. While she was there, she started envisioning New Branch Chiropractic & Health Center. After becoming licensed in 2007 Dr. Nygren and her family relocated to the triangle to start her practice.
Dr. Nygren is a member of the International Chiropractic Association, the North Carolina Chiropractic Association, and the Chatham County United Chamber of Commerce.  She is also an active member of Chatham County Leads Group, which strives to keep small businesses up and running in Chatham.   Dr. Nygren and her husband have a two and a half year old daughter and a Boxer who is seven.
